Community Radio - A force of Change
In 2000 the Worldbank carried out a global research in which they asked people living in poverty what they felt they needed most. The answer wasn’t money, but a voice, a say in decisions that have an impact on their lives.
Community Radio may be the most forceful tool to give people a voice. It empowers people to change their lives and therefore it can play an important role in the development of local communities and societies.
On this RNTC website you can learn more about the importance and potential of Community Radio. You can also learn more about the INFORMOTRAC programme which is strengthening Community Radio stations in Africa.
Feel free to contact RNTC, if you have any questions about INFORMOTRAC or if you like to become involved in Community Radio. If you want to read more about INFORMOTRAC and Community Radio than click here to download more background information.
