General Information
Remacob is the network organisation of community media in the Lower Congo, the most western province of DRC. It was founded in August 2005 and now has 18 members, community radio stations and local TV stations. DRC has entered a crucial phase in its history. Information and communication are vital elements in the move towards peace.
Remacob aims to reinforce the relationship between its media members. Its role is to function as a framework for dialogue and experience-sharing between members and to strengthen capacity building of members.
Remacob believes that community radio stations in Lower Congo will cover the entire territory and reach each village. The organisation also improves the social and professional conditions of its members.
