| Jida FM is located close to both the Mauritanian and Mali borders. As emigration issues are an important aspect of everyday social and economic life in the region, Jida FM’s main objective is to address the emigrants in Senegal and function as a platform for the Senegalese community worldwide. The station has over 45 correspondents in different countries (Mali, Mauritania, France, Germany, etc.) who help people to get in touch with Jida FM. Jida FM also has a special programme in which emigrants can send messages to their relatives. The station broadcasts 70 hours a week. | |
